"Manon" Pointelle Knit Dress Ensemble for Sasha Doll


"Manon" brings the splendor of spring to Sasha. Silk-satin ribbon intertwines with cotton pointelle, edged at the shoulders in champagne velvet. A discreet shoulder button makes getting dressed a cinch. Underneath, a batiste chemise and pantaloons support the a-line silhouette. Cluny lace accents make underthings pretty enough to wear on their own. Skimmers and doll hair pin ornamented with silk ribbon and iridescent Venetian glass beads complete the look.




This one-of-a-kind altered couture dress and accessories ensemble has been made from materials from a range of ages and required a variety of techniques including hand and machine sewing. Everything here has been made by hand in my studio even the shoes!:

Antique-
Cluny lace (white matte)
Vintage and rescued-
pointelle; silky cream Cluny lace; muslin; gathered lace (shoes), buttons
New-
Italian cotton batiste, silk satin ribbon, velvet ribbon, Venetian glass beads, felt (shoe soles), decorative paper, thread
Garments are tagged and signed by the artist.
